The linear park and ecological corridor El Virrey is an ecological park that extends from Carrera Séptima to the Autopista Norte at the height of Calle Ochenta y ocho. The park has a network of bicycle paths, a pedestrian walkway and rest areas, as well as water fountains for visitors and pets. The project for the development of this park was the creation of a linear park along the El Quebrada de El Viceroy (or Negro river) for the protection and conservation of the water source, and the animal and plant species in the area, especially the avifauna that nest and live in it.
